The Children’s eBook Awards™ (CEBA) were established to celebrate the greatest accomplishments in this growing field, and inspire readers, authors and publishers alike.  The awards will be judged by a panel of publishers, authors, multimedia developers, educational professionals, and others.  CEBA invites publishers, authors & multimedia developers from the US and worldwide to submit and nominate eBooks and Apps written in the English language.

CEBA feels that, today, eBooks and Apps allow us to explore invention, learn, and have fun, and watch our children do the same.  CEBA is proud to provide both a ‘snapshot’ of the current state of the children’s eBook and App industry—while helping drive future innovation, as well.

eBooks are divided into two overall categories and both may be submitted.  These include: Book Apps and eBooks.  The first category, Book Apps, include eBooks using media enhancements such as audio, video, animation, and interactivity that enhance the sensory or educational quality of the reader’s experience.  The second category, eBooks, include physical books deemed straight conversions, with no media enhancements.  This includes children’s books originated in paper format and transferred to a tablet.

CEBA will also select an overall Grand Prize trophy for both eBook and Book App, to be unveiled when the winners are announced.  Here, the best innovative combination of book and technology will receive an outstanding trophy to be unveiled December 10, 2014.  Additionally, online Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honorable Mention will receive an online sticker label for placement on their award-winning product.  CEBA Award announcements will be made on the Awards’ official website (http://childrensebookawards.com/), as well as announced via press release to a wide variety of online magazines and blogs.
